This session explores mantra as a contemplative and spiritual practice that extends beyond spoken words.
Drawing upon Vedic traditions, Sanskrit phonetics, and Bhartṛhari’s Sphoṭa theory, it examines the significance of sound, meaning, and inner experience.
The session introduces five proposed mechanisms of mantra practice: acoustic entrainment, breath–sound
coupling, attention anchoring, archetypal resonance, and vibrational resonance.
Participants are introduced to audible, whispered, and mental recitation, along
with a practical chanting exercise and a structured 40-day practice protocol.
The session also discusses traditional principles of mantra transmission from
teacher to student.
